A 3-kilometer safety zone and a 10-kilometer monitored zone have been established. The disease, which does not affect humans but could cause significant economic damage if it spreads, was recently detected in another livestock farm in Kapitan Andreevo. The agency is implementing control and elimination measures in accordance with European and national laws. Farmers are calling for state aid for those affected by the measures or the disease.
