Smoked fish production has increased significantly

During January-September 2021, Ukraine produced 3,000 tons of smoked fish (including fillets; except for Pacific, Atlantic and Danube salmon, herring and trout, as well as fish heads, tails and bellies), which is 9.4% more than in the same period last year. This was reported by the press service of the State Agency for Land Reclamation and Fisheries of Ukraine, writes agronews.ua. The growth of fish production was also observed for the following commodity items: dried, dried, salted or unsalted fish; salted fish, but not dried; fish in brine (except for smoked fish, fish fillets, fish heads, tails and bellies) - 7.8 thousand tons (+ 3.2%); ready-made fish products and canned food, other (except whole or sliced and ready-made fish dishes) - 9.8 thousand tons (+ 13.9%); dried and dried fish - 3.6 thousand tons (+ 5.9%); salted herring - 2.5 thousand tons (+ 3%); caviar of other fish - 2.8 thousand tons (+ 13.4%).
