Southern China is currently facing severe meteorological droughts, affecting millions of mu of arable land and impacting the water supply and crops in several provinces. The Ministry of Water Resources has reported a significant drought impact on agriculture and has implemented emergency measures and supervision. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has issued guidelines to enhance drought resistance, including the construction of farmland rainwater collection and storage facilities, promotion of water-saving irrigation technology, and the use of drought-resistant agents and fertilizers. The meteorological department is also strengthening artificial precipitation in the region to combat the drought.
