The South African Raisin Industry Association (SATI) has reported that South Africa has surpassed last year's production and export levels, with about 69 million boxes produced and 56 million boxes shipped so far this season. The packing season in the Northern Provinces and Orange River region has ended, while the Berg River and Heck River regions are experiencing excellent harvest conditions. The Heck River region is expected to maintain high volumes and produce 24.3 million cases of Crimson Seedless and Autumn Crisp varieties.
