South Chungcheongnam-do Yesan County Releases 30,000 Eel Fingerlings into Yedang Reservoir

On the 15th, Yesan County in South Chungcheong Province released approximately 30,000 eel fry at the Yedang Reservoir fishing grounds. According to the disease testing results from the Chungcheongnam-do Fisheries Resources Research Institute, the healthy fry over 10cm were evaluated as having high survival and growth potential. Although eels are migratory fish that spawn between rivers and seas, their natural reproduction is difficult due to artificial structures like river barrages and dams.
