South Jeolla Province sets a target of exporting 700 million dollars worth of seaweed by 2030.

Jeonnam Province has established a plan to expand laver exports by covering the entire industry cycle from seed production to export in order to secure leadership in the laver export market through the production of high-quality laver and the development of competitive products. The goal is to achieve $700 million in exports by 2030. The plan to expand laver exports consists of four major strategies and 23 related tasks: △ securing competitiveness through the development and dissemination of new laver varieties △ stable production of eco-friendly, high-quality laver △ smart processing facilities, quality innovation, and distribution network establishment △ attracting export companies, strengthening stability, and expanding marketing. The total project cost by 2030 is 423.5 billion won.
