South Korea purchased 131 thsd tons of corn in a tender

split into two lots at a price of approximately $234.90 per ton including cost and freight, with arrival in South Korea in January 2026. The first lot of approximately 65,000 tons was purchased from trading company CHS, with an expected arrival date of January 5. The second lot of 66,000 tons was purchased from Olam, with an expected arrival date of January 30. Shipping times vary depending on the region of origin: November to December for the United States, South America or South Africa. Corn of European or Black Sea origin was not allowed in the tender.
