South Korea's imports of frozen cod fell 13% in the first quarter of this year

South Korea experienced a notable decline in its frozen cod imports, with a 20% decrease in value to 43.92 million US dollars and a 7% drop in the average import price to 0.96 US dollars per kilogram compared to the previous year. The bulk of these imports originated from Russia, contributing 44,925 tons, while the combined imports from the United States and China were much lower at 817 tons. The import price of frozen cod varied by source country, with Russia and the US offering more competitive prices than China.
