The soy harvest for the 2022/23 season in Brazil reached 52.9% of the total area, according to consultancy Pátria AgroNegócios. This figure is behind the 64.3% harvested at the same time last year and falls below the historical average of 56.9%. The delays are particularly significant in Paraná and Mato Grosso do Sul, raising concerns about the planting of the "safrinha" corn crop. However, Mato Grosso and Rondônia are progressing well and have already started the final stretch of their harvest. A decrease in rainfall has helped speed up harvesting in northeastern Brazil.
