In the first quarter of 2024, Paraguay saw a significant increase in its soybean meal exports, with a total of 645,334 tons, a 60.7% increase from the same period in 2023. This surge in exports led to a 14.7% year-on-year increase in revenue, generating USD 230.6 million. Despite the increased volume of exports, the average price per ton of soybean meal fell by 28.7% to USD 357, down from USD 501 in the previous year. The first quarter also witnessed an increase in soybean oil exports, indicating a higher level of oilseed industrialization.
