Soybean sales exceed 40% of estimated production

The sale of Brazil's 2024/25 soybean crop already accounts for 42.4% of projected production, according to a report by consulting firm Safras & Mercado, with data collected up to March 7. In the previous report, dated February 7, this percentage was 39.4%. Compared to the same period last year, soybean sales were at 36.6%, while the five-year average for the same period was 48.8%. With the harvest estimated at 174.88 million tons, approximately 74.12 million tons of soybeans have already been traded to date. This increase in negotiations indicates an acceleration in the pace of sales, signaling that producers and traders are taking advantage of the opportunity to sell soybeans at favorable prices.
