The agribusiness sector in the state of São Paulo recorded a surplus of US$ 16.81 billion between January and September 2025, the result of exports totaling US$ 21.15 billion and imports of US$ 4.34 billion. The sector accounted for 40.3% of the total exports from the state and 6.6% of imports during the period, according to a survey by the Business Research Directorate (Apta), linked to the Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply. Among the main exporting groups, the soybean complex had a 9.9% share in the external sales of São Paulo's agribusiness, moving US$ 2.10 billion, with 80.8% referring to soybeans and 14% to meal. Despite its relevance, the group showed a slight decrease of 0.8% compared to the same period in 2024, reflecting price and volume fluctuations in the international market.
