The Government of São Paulo has introduced the Fruticultura SP Credit Line, a new initiative to boost the state's fruit-growing sector with a budget of R$10 million. The credit line, part of the São Paulo Agribusiness Expansion Fund (FEAP), will provide small producers with an interest rate of 3% per year and a repayment term of 84 months, with a 24-month grace period. The primary goal is to support citrus farming and enhance the competitiveness of small producers, with operations set to commence in 2025. This initiative is expected to have a significant impact, especially among small and medium-sized producers, and builds on FEAP's previous record distribution of R$290 million in rural credit in 2024.
