Spain: pork exports behavior in 2024

According to EU Pigmeat Trade Data, Spanish exports of pork and pork products to non-EU countries reached a total volume of 1,375,736 tonnes in carcass weight in 2024 (+0.25% compared to 2023), despite a slight drop in frozen meat exports (-7.98%), which was offset by a notable 13% increase in offal exports. Frozen pork, with 705,641 t, represented 51.3% of total exports in 2024, while offal, with 430,078 t, represented a significant 31.3% of the total. Asia continues to be the driver of international demand China remains Spain's main trading partner in this field, with 238,130 tonnes of frozen meat and 278,248 tonnes of offal imported from Spain in 2024.
