Spanish olive oil producers have received 27.4 million euros in aid for private storage of olive oil, following 134 offers that made up 95% of the EU's offers, aiming to withdraw olive oil from an oversupplied market. Additionally, the EU allocated an extra 1.04 million euros in aid to the livestock sector in Spain, supporting the storage of products like beef, sheep and goat meat, cheeses, skimmed milk powder, and butter, as a response to COVID-19 restrictions. The aid ranged from 50% to the planned total in Europe, with Spain requesting a significant share of the cheese storage aid.
