Spanish police seized 7.5 tonnes of cocaine hidden in frozen tuna in Vigo, the biggest drug bust in the history of Galicia, and 3.5 tonnes in shipping containers in Valencia, leading to the arrest of twenty people. The drugs were intended for distribution throughout Europe by one of Europe's most powerful distribution networks, operated by two Balkan organizations. A smuggling network in the region had set up an import company for trading frozen fish and seafood internationally, as well as investing in real estate, to cover up its involvement in drug smuggling.
