(Agraria.pe) Between January and October 2024, Spanish fruit and vegetable exports to the entire world reached 9.8 million tons for € 14.28 billion. Likewise, in the first ten months of 2024, fruit and vegetable shipments from Spain to the European Union amounted to 8.3 million tons and € 11.626 billion, which meant an increase of +10% in volume and +6% in value compared to what was reported in the same period of the year. In addition, these shipments represented 84% of the volume and 81% of the total, reinforcing its position as the first destination. Germany increases its position as Spain's first market in the EU. 2.7 million tonnes of fresh fruit and vegetables were exported to France from January to October 2024, 12% more than in the same period of the previous year, for a value of € 4,158 million (+6%).
