Between January and October 2024, Spain saw a significant growth in its fruit and vegetable exports, reaching a volume of 9.8 million tons and generating revenue of € 14.28 billion. The European Union (EU) was the primary market, receiving 8.3 million tons of 11.626 billion euros, marking a 10% increase in volume and a 6% increase in value compared to the previous year. Germany, France, and the Netherlands were the top three importers within the EU. Outside the EU, the United Kingdom emerged as the leading market, with a 6% growth in both volume and value. Overall, 97% of Spain's fruit and vegetable exports were directed to Europe, with the remaining 3% being distributed to other countries.
