Exports of cured hams and shoulders have seen a significant increase in the first five months of 2022, with an 11.2% rise in volume and 23.4% increase in value compared to the same period in 2021. A total of 24,608 tons worth 239.1 million euros have been exported, with both bone-in and boneless products experiencing substantial growth. Japan, the United States, and China have been the countries with the highest percentage growth in volume and value. France, Germany, Portugal, and Italy continue to be the leading importers of Spanish hams and shoulders.
