Spanish farmers attack Moroccan fruit and vegetable trucks

This Tuesday morning, on the AP-7 motorway, Catalan farmers blocked traffic in both directions between the French border and Barcelona. The immediate result of this action was the closure of the A9 motorway towards Leucate, in the France-Spain direction. The protest, marked by a hundred tractors and determined farmers, was concentrated in Pontós, south of Figueres, where the AP-7 highway and the NII were cut. But beyond this road blockage, farmers also orchestrated action by emptying at least five trucks of goods from Morocco. These trucks transported fresh produce, such as green beans, asparagus and salads.
