Spanish serrano ham makes a strong impact in Mexico. In 2024, exports of cured ham to the Aztec country reached 2,481.37 tons, a 45.33% increase from the previous year. In value, the leap is even greater: 33,042,102.59 euros, which represents an increase of 62.1% compared to 2023. With these figures, Mexico already accounts for 4% of the total value of annual cured ham exports and 4.5% of the volume, consolidating itself as one of the most dynamic markets for this product outside the European Union.
