Egypt's imports of grain decreased by 20.4% in the first four months of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022, with a total value of $1.9 billion. The top three cereals imported by Egypt during this period were wheat, corn used in the feed industry, and rice, with values of $1.1 billion, $691.9 million, and $51.4 million respectively. Russia was the leading country from which Egypt imported grain, followed by Ukraine and Brazil.
