In 2022, Stavropole exported nearly 568,5 thousand tons of grain products to overseas markets, as reported by 'KazakhZerno.kz'. There was a notable increase in exports to traditional buying markets. Belarus increased its purchase of grain products by 73%, acquiring nearly 78 thousand tons, mainly rapseed, flax, soy, and sunflower. Uzbekistan's import of these products grew by 42%. Kazakhstan raised its import of grain by 88%, bringing in over 2.5 thousand tons. Azerbaijan led the import in 2022, despite a 24% decrease from 2021, with over 375 thousand tons, mainly corn and wheat. However, exports to European countries like Germany decreased by 50% in the form of herbs and nuts. On the other hand, importers from the Middle East, especially Turkey, increased their purchases. Among the top importers were Afghanistan, Iraq, and Iran.
