[Korean Farmers and Fishermen Newspaper, Reporter U Jeong-soo] Fluctuations in shipment volumes at specific times, heated competition among producing organizations, and a lack of responsiveness to the online market have been identified as urgent issues that need to be resolved in the domestic peach industry. To address these problems, it has been proposed to form a 'Peach Distribution Council' and to push for measures such as controlling shipments, sharing information among producing organizations, and establishing standards for suitable varieties and packaging materials for the online market. The Korean Peach Producers Council, in the presence of representatives from local distribution organizations including cooperative joint business entities, convened at the Sunshine Hotel in Daejeon Metropolitan City last November 11-12 to seek ways to improve peach distribution through the 'Peach Distribution Council'.
