As of January 1, 2023, Kazakhstan's oilseed stocks reached 2.526 million tons, an increase from 1.674 million tons three months prior, according to the country's Bureau of National Statistics. The majority of these stocks (2.33 million tons) are for food use, with the rest being used as forage and seed. The stocks are distributed among oilseed processors, farmers, and other agricultural producers. The stocks include various oilseeds such as sunflower seeds, rape seeds, flax, soybeans, safflower, mustard, camelina seeds, and cotton.
