Strawberry production in Rio Grande do Sul is experiencing varying results due to different climatic conditions and the need for constant phytosanitary control. In Caxias do Sul, while the quality is excellent, low relative humidity has led to issues with aphids and powdery mildew, causing a drop in prices. In the Lajeado region, harvest has been delayed and there is a need for management of other pests. High relative humidity and lack of sunlight in Pelotas have challenged production, leading to significant losses from bird attacks. However, in Soledad, the dry climate and adequate solar radiation have resulted in satisfactory production and regular supply, despite some varieties reducing production. Prices range from R$12.00 to R$30.00/kg depending on the quality and region.
