Small but impactful initiatives like Pro-ARIDES are enhancing food security in Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger by improving household nutrition, teaching sustainable agriculture, and promoting collective resource use. The Kélègnè Women's Cooperative in Nébia, Burkina Faso, exemplifies these efforts with its community garden that boosts food supply and income for its 67 members. In 2022, Pro-ARIDES improved water management and storage, including an innovative onion storage hut that reduces post-harvest losses. These initiatives have significantly improved food security, income, and economic stability, showcasing a model for sustainable development and community empowerment.
