Sunflower oil production is growing in Russia

In October 2022, Russia saw a significant increase in the production of both unrefined and refined sunflower oil. Unrefined sunflower oil production rose by 5% from October 2021 and 80.1% from September 2022, totaling 577.3 thousand tons. Over the first ten months of 2022, unrefined sunflower oil production increased by 17.1% compared to the same period in 2021, reaching 4.8 million tons. On the other hand, refined sunflower oil production experienced a slight decrease of 4.4% in October 2022 compared to the same month in 2021, but a substantial increase of 20.9% from September 2022. From January to October 2022, refined sunflower oil production rose by 8.2% year-over-year, hitting 2 million tons.
