The article highlights the potential impact of the ongoing energy crisis in Ukraine, especially on oil producers, on the price of sunflower. It is noted that while the sunflower harvest is complete with a yield of approximately 9.7 million tons, the price fluctuates greatly and there is no short-term potential for growth as importers have already purchased sufficient oil. The energy crisis could lead to a decrease in demand from domestic processors and a shift to more expensive diesel generators, potentially leading to a drop in sunflower prices if the situation worsens. However, if electricity supply to factories does not deteriorate, prices could rise to UAH 20,000/ton by the end of December.
