Demand for greenhouse tomatoes in Ukraine has increased while supply has decreased, leading to a price increase of 10% in a week, according to EastFruit project analysts. Turkey, the main supplier, has experienced unfavorable weather, reducing their supply to foreign markets. As a result, imported tomatoes are 1.5 times more expensive on average compared to January 2022. However, market participants anticipate prices to decline by mid-February as Ukrainian greenhouses start selling their new turnover of vegetables.
