The Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade in Egypt has announced an increase in the supply of cane crop to 315,000 tons for the factories of the Sugar and Integrated Industries Company, leading to the production of approximately 31 tons of sugar. The ministry stated that Egypt's sugar production reaches 90% of consumption, with a strategic sugar reserve exceeding three months. The head of the Sugar and Integrated Industries Company noted that the cost of supplying sugar cane is reasonable compared to other cultivation costs. However, there has been a slight decrease in the cultivated cane area compared to the previous season. Canetakers have pledged to meet the state's required cane production, and farmers expect better income with the increased supply price.
