After a period of pilot implementation, the credit program for the coconut industry, coordinated by the Vietnam Coconut Association in collaboration with the agricultural sector and Agribank, piloted in Đồng Tháp, Vĩnh Long, and Cần Thơ, has yielded positive results. Mr. Phạm Văn Tánh, Director of An Thới Coconut Cooperative (Vĩnh Long), believes that Agribank's support of capital for coconut farmers with preferential interest rates has created favorable conditions for farmers to invest in coconut cultivation. However, coconut farmers are hoping for more support from the association, banks, and the agricultural sector to further enhance the value of coconuts.
