Support of over 32 million levs to producers of protein containing agricultural products in Bulgaria

The State Agricultural Fund paid 32,597,628 leva to farmers within the scope of Support Payments for Protein-Containing Agricultural Production within the scope of agricultural support for 2020. The subsidies were transferred to the accounts of 16,081 producers growing beans, lentils, chickpeas, peas, peanuts, soybeans, broad beans, clover, sainfoin, vetch, alfalfa, cowpea, vetch, lupine, gazal horn and their mixtures. Farmers who meet the requirements of Regulation No. 3 dated February 17, 2015, cultivate at least 0.5 hectares of land (collectively or separately) and whose cultivated areas are entitled to support under the Per Decare Support Payment Plan, are entitled to receive this support. Within the scope of Support Payments for Protein-Containing Agricultural Production for the 2020 agricultural year, the amount of support was increased by 20.7 percent and farmers were paid 259.22 leva per hectare.
