Currently, there are still many cocoa farmers in Kolut who are not yet established, despite the fact that 75% of chocolate production in Indonesia comes from the island of Sulawesi. The North Kolaka Cocoa Foreign Exchange Village is collaborating with local farmers and stakeholders, with the support of the Indonesian Export Financing Institution (LPEI), to encourage farmers to maintain production and expand market access in Europe. The Foreign Exchange Village Program provides training and assistance to farmers to increase their knowledge in production, management, and export procedures, with the goal of increasing competitiveness in the global market.
