The Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association and the Vietnam Vegetable and Fruit Investment Joint Stock Company have launched a durian custard apple planting project for 59 farming households in Muong Dang commune, Muong Ang district. The project, which costs over 2.5 billion VND, aims to provide technical training, seedlings, fertilizers, and pesticides to the farmers in the first year. The durian custard apple trees are expected to start bearing fruit after two years, providing a stable harvest of 10-15 kg per tree per year by the fifth year. The project is part of the Central Committee's efforts to help farmers develop a sustainable economy and build a durable raw material chain for durian custard apple products.
