Opening sustainable livelihoods Over the years, the model of mulberry planting and silkworm raising in the western part of Gia Lai province has proven to be economically effective. Thanks to suitable soil conditions, climate, and stable output, this model has helped many households gradually increase their income, improve their living conditions, and move towards sustainable production. Sister Hoàng Thị Mai (Ia Sâm hamlet, Ia Hrú commune) is one of the households that have been closely associated with the mulberry planting and silkworm raising profession. Previously, she had many failures when growing pepper, sugarcane, and raising cattle. At the end of 2018, she and her husband visited the mulberry planting and silkworm raising model in Lâm Đồng and decided to try it.
