Switzerland breaks cheese export record in 2020

Swiss cheese exports reached a record high in 2020, driven by enthusiasm for cooking during confinement periods and sanitary restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the professional organization Switzerland Cheese Marketing announced on Tuesday (2/2). Switzerland exported 77,124 tonnes of cheese, which means a 1.6% increase in volume compared to the previous year, a statement said.
