Turkey's hazelnut exporters are targeting to achieve 340 thousand tons of exports in the current season, building on the revenue of 2.10 million 787 thousand 689 dollars from the previous season's 292 thousand 439 tons. Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, which account for 2 percent of Turkey's hazelnut exports, the sales have met expectations. The Black Sea Hazelnut and Products Exporters' Association is actively seeking new markets, particularly in China, Arab countries, India, Brazil, and Mexico, and is optimistic about the potential despite understanding the unique market conditions in these countries. The recent snowfall is anticipated to have a positive impact on the development of hazelnut orchards.
