The Black Sea Hazelnut and Products Exporters' Association (KFMİB) aims to export over 300 thousand tons of hazelnuts in the 2024-2025 season, following a successful 2023-2024 season that saw a 30.86% increase in income from hazelnut exports, reaching 2.349 million dollars. The quality and reliability of Turkish hazelnuts have made them a favorite in the global market, with exports to around 130 countries. Despite the EU being the primary market, there has been a notable increase in exports to Saudi Arabia and China. The association is optimistic about the future of Turkish hazelnut exports, attributing the success to various initiatives, promotions, and the resolution of pest problems. The target for the upcoming season is to exceed 300 thousand tons, although this may vary by 5-10% depending on market conditions.
