Technologies for the sustainable production of goats and sheep should reach almost 5,000 producers in the semiarid region

Increase the sustainability of goat and sheep production in the Brazilian Semiarid Region and add value to meat, dairy products and their derivatives. With these objectives in mind, Embrapa Caprinos e Ovinos has promoted the course “Technological update in goat and sheep farming” for technicians from the National Rural Learning Service (Senar) who work in the region. The second group, whose classes will start on August 24, is formed by 124 technical assistance and rural extension professionals from the states of Bahia, Ceará, Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Norte and Piauí. The action is one of the contributions of Embrapa Caprinos e Ovinos under the Agronordeste Program, coordinated by the Secretariat of Innovation, Rural Development and Irrigation (SDI) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, and which has a partnership with Senar in technical assistance.
