Thailand becomes the second-largest consumer of Norwegian salmon and trout in Asia

In the first seven months of 2025, Thailand imported 14,511 tons of Norwegian salmon and 5,285 tons of rainbow trout, with year-on-year increases of 50% and 15%, respectively.

In the region, only China imported more Norwegian salmon than Thailand.

In the first seven months of this year, Japan imported 14,810 tons of Norwegian salmon and 1,935 tons of rainbow trout; South Korea imported 18,086 tons of Norwegian salmon and only 22 tons of rainbow trout.
