Thailand continues to shop for feed wheat – and at increasingly lower prices, while feed corn has become more expensive at the international market in South Korea.

A group of importers from Thailand purchased 60,000 tons of feed wheat at an international auction last week, reported the electronic edition APK-Inform, citing its sources among market participants. The wheat was contracted for $235.90 per ton CIF (including costs and insurance to the price of the goods and transport - ed. note) and without additional costs for unloading the grain. For comparison - at the last auction for the import of feed wheat in Thailand, held a week earlier, the delivery of 240,000 tons was contracted for up to $250 per ton C&F, and at the auction in South Korea in early December, 65,000 tons were purchased for $261.65 per ton C&F plus $1.30 per ton for unloading at a reserve port. The delivery of the grain from the current tender procedure is scheduled for January 2026.
