Thai Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Capt. Thammanat Phromphao, has unveiled the government's strategy to position Thailand as a global hub for agriculture and food, aiming to triple the agricultural sector's income in the next four years. This plan encompasses a comprehensive approach that includes the adoption of precision agriculture, innovation in plant varieties and water management, and the development of a comprehensive agricultural market system. Additionally, the country plans to leverage its culinary heritage to create new markets through food innovation, particularly in healthy and plant-based food industries. To achieve these goals, the Ministry will implement nine policies focused on product upgrading and strengthening farmers, as well as initiatives for environmental sustainability and solving the PM2.5 problem from agricultural sources.
