The article reports that Turkey has removed the 100% analysis requirement for the tomato brown fruit wrinkle virus, tomato spotted wilt virus, and pepino mosaic virus for fresh tomato and pepper exports to Russia from Antalya and İzmir. This decision, backed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, is expected to boost the competitiveness of Turkish exporters and increase the foreign currency earned from these exports. In 2020, Turkey's tomato and pepper exports to Russia brought in 85 million dollars, with 42% coming from Izmir and Antalya, and the quota on tomato exports is now expected to be lifted.
