The Andalusian Institute for Agricultural, Fisheries, Food and Organic Production Research and Training (Ifapa) has announced that the next edition of the Andalusian Shepherds' School will take place in Cortegana, Huelva, following an open selection process for the host livestock region. After receiving proposals from 12 municipalities and their respective regions with extensive livestock farming, the candidacy of Cortegana, in the Sierra de Huelva region, has been chosen to host the XIII edition of the School, which will be held for the first time in the province of Huelva. The candidacy, requested by the Cortegana City Council, COAG Huelva, and the National Association of Breeders of Andalusian White Goat Breed (ABLANSE), has received significant support from both public institutions and breeders' associations, companies, and even entities from neighboring Portugal.
