The area of greenhouses in Azerbaijan at the beginning of 2024 is 1.6 thousand hectares

In Azerbaijan in 2023, the volume of tomatoes grown in greenhouses amounted to 268.9 thousand tons, the country’s State Statistics Committee told Interfax-Azerbaijan. As of January 1, 2024, there were 3,228 greenhouses in Azerbaijan with a total area of 1.6 thousand hectares, in which 268.9 thousand tons of tomatoes, 10.4 thousand tons of cucumbers, 590.6 tons of mushrooms were grown in 2023 , 33 tons of onions, 22.8 tons of cabbage, 21.9 tons of beans, 13.2 tons of peppers, 7.8 tons of eggplants, 2.9 tons of garlic and 193.6 tons of wild strawberries (strawberries).
