According to a report by Argentina's "Horn" newspaper on October 31, the China International Import Expo, hosted by the Chinese government, is a large-scale event that brings together suppliers offering products and services to the Chinese market.
The Argentine Beef Promotion Association will join forces with 13 export companies to set up a classic "Argentine Beef Pavilion" at the expo, covering an area of 400 square meters. The core area will feature a large restaurant where buyers can taste Argentine beef cooked on-site.
George Breitschmitt, president of the Argentine Beef Promotion Association, said, "We are returning to China to continue consolidating this market, which currently accounts for 70% of Argentina's beef exports."
Breitschmitt also revealed that the association will hold strategic talks with the Chinese government regarding pending safeguard measures. He emphasized, "We hope to prove that Argentine beef exports are not a problem for local producers."
Breitschmitt stated, "On the other hand, we will continue to push for the Chinese market to open access to Argentine beef by-products."
