The Turkish fresh fruit and vegetable sector is making efforts to boost its exports to Asia-Pacific countries, particularly Singapore and Indonesia. The Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters' Association recently organized a trade delegation to these countries, as part of the URGE Project. The trade volume between Turkey and these countries is currently $4 billion. In 2022, exports to these countries totaled $805 million, with fresh fruit and vegetables making up 0.08% of this figure. The association aims to increase this figure to $50 million. The trade delegation included nine Turkish fresh fruit and vegetable exporters, and resulted in numerous business meetings and discussions to increase product diversity in Singapore and Indonesia.
