Agrohub in partnership with Syngenta conducted a global study on agricultural efficiency, comparing resources, costs, yields, and profitability of Ukraine, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, and Australia in 2021–2023, writes Latifundist.com. The analysis included 24 agricultural companies with more than 3.5 million hectares in 26 agro-climatic regions. Despite different conditions, the countries face similar challenges — logistics, labor shortages, and climate change. Ukraine demonstrates some of the highest yield rates: Yields for these crops exceed those of Argentina (wheat — 3.5 t/ha, corn — 6.9 t/ha, sunflower — 2.1 t/ha), Brazil (corn — 6.2 t/ha), Canada (wheat — 2.8 t/ha, canola — 1.8 t/ha), and Australia (wheat — 3.3 t/ha, canola — 2 t/ha). The cost structure of most participants is similar: a significant portion is allocated to land, fertilizers, and field operations. At the same time, Ukraine is on par with other countries for most expenses. For example, in 2023, production ...
