Data from Secex analyzed by Cepea show that in September, the price of wheat imported by Brazil was the lowest since November 2020. The average was US$ 230.09/ton, equivalent to R$ 1,235.12/t, considering the exchange rate of R$ 5.368 in the month. In the same period, the average price of the cereal in Rio Grande do Sul, according to the research center's survey, was R$ 1,259.39/t, which indicates greater competitiveness of the imported product compared to the Brazilian one.
