With a total of 21 national and international speakers from Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, and France, in addition to scientists from renowned Peruvian universities such as La Molina, the Universidad del Centro de Huancayo, the Universidad Santos Atahualpa (Central Jungle), and the Universidad Autónoma de Huanta, the district of Pichari (Cusco) was the setting for the Vraem National Bamboo Week 2025. The event brought together farmers, students, artisans, entrepreneurs, researchers, and authorities seeking to strengthen the bamboo production chain, considered an alternative resource with high economic, social, and environmental potential for the region and the country.
